Emptying

Before a product can be filled, mixed or dosed, it often has to be removed from its original container. The size or shape of the barrel or container is completely irrelevant. We provide barrel emptying systems to match your requirements.

The optimal, economic solution is an emptying process that ensures that product losses (residue in container) are kept to an absolute minimum. With our barrel emptying systems we achieve residual amounts of less than 1 %. In addition to the actual emptying process, direct filler feed is also an option.

The following examples show how customers have benefited from our know-how:

Barrel emptying of fruit pulp

The customer wants to remove fruit pulp from 200 l barrels. The product has a viscosity of approx. 250,000 mPas at 20°C. The flow rate is 15 l /min at a pressure of approx.

10 bar. Two barrels are placed on a euro pallet, where they remain for the emptying of product. The barrels can be locked in place during the emptying process.

Emptying of tomato paste (from slightly conical containers)

The customer wants to fill triple-concentrated tomato paste into different containers. The paste is to be transferred out of slightly conical 200 l barrels of 500 - 540 mm diameter. The product has a viscosity of 195 mPas, the flow rate is 90 l/min and filling is with an accuracy tolerance lower than 1 %.

Barrel-Emptying of Vaseline
The customer plans to remove Vaseline from 200 l drums and add it to a mixing process in varying quantities. The product is to be emptied at a temperature of 20°C at approx. 15 l/min, at a viscosity of 500,000 mPas and a maximum dosing pressure of 10 bar. By removing product at room temperature (no heating), no additional equipment is required and energy costs are drastically reduced.
